With the aim of ensuring a commitment to sustainable development and planet preservation, Domplex/Plastidom has joined the international and voluntary initiative Operation Clean Sweep® (OCS).

This program, developed worldwide by the plastics industry, has the main objective of preventing the loss of plastic resin (pellets, flakes, and microplastic powders) in the environment.

In this way, companies in the plastics industry value chain - manufacturers, processors, distributors, logistics, and recycling companies - commit to handling these materials responsibly, protecting the environment, and also enabling more efficient processing of products.

The goal is to examine ongoing processes and improve them if necessary, while also raising awareness among various stakeholders, individuals, and Organization partners about the importance of reinforcing best practices to minimize the loss of plastic resin throughout the chain.

Confirming the sustainability strategy, a concern of Domplex/Plastidom since its foundation, we are one of the companies adhering to this initiative, promoting the implementation of some measures such as:

 

• identifying points in industrial facilities that may generate plastic particle loss, and after assessing the situation, determining the needs and implementing necessary improvements in the facilities and equipment;
   
• implementing technical containment measures, such as installing special retainers and filters to collect particles, to prevent impurities from reaching the public network;
   
• implementing new cleaning tools and plans integrated into daily routines and work standards;
   
• training with a focus on environmental safety challenges and particle loss prevention practices;
   
• monitoring and verification of processes through an independent mechanism that ensures the proper implementation of the OCS program and allows measuring and improving established indicators;
   
• promoting the initiative to customers, partners, and the value chain, encouraging participation in the program.
